NOTE: This episode was originally released a "A Chronic Rift" - a short featuring Todd Rage. Chronologically, this episode fits between August and September's episode, so I'm re-releasing it here. ~Jay Smith, Producer HG WORLD
On Day 17 of the uprising, Todd Rage is still searching for news and answers from the shrinking pockets of civilization outside the Algonquin Valley. He reaches out to a scientist at Indiana University of Pennsylvania who believes he's known all along what's causing the dead to return to life and attack the living. Dr Jonas K Drew, formerly of the Peabody Institute for Medieval Metaphysics and now a liberal arts professor at IUP, uses the uprising to promote tolerance and understanding of what he calls "first contact from beyond a chronic rift."
This recording was made inside the WRAG studio and taken from the in-studio tapes. You can just make out thunder from the late fall thunderstorm that flooded several towns along the upper Susquehanna and Algonquin Rivers.
This mini-sode features Keith R A DeCandido as Todd Rage and John S Drew as Jonas K Drew (no relation).

Global Public Podcasts presents the audio program in four parts.
The Life of Folk Hero Todd Rage, an AM Radio Host - "The Voice of the Valley" who saved hundreds of lives and kept thousands of people connected from his solitary cabin in the Algonquin Mountains of northwestern PA.
Global Public Podcasts profiles Rage's somewhat ironic protests against the very facility that would come to be known as the "Alamo" of the Zombie War.
While few photos exist of Rage, many of his broadcasts and blogcasts have been preserved.

Todd Rage discusses his 'deal with the devil' a month before the United States outbreak of walking dead begins. Todd deals with his moral lapses and the decline in the health of his wife, Mary. His words seem quite prophetic in the aftermath of the global crisis.

As medical bills mount and the economy crashes, Todd Rage comes to an uncomfortable realization about his future on the air. To preserve his station and cover his growing mountain of debt, Rage makes a choice that allows him to stay on the air - a choice that eats away at his conscience, but that is necessary for him to eventually serve as a beacon for humanity's struggle against the undead....
In PART 2 of this segment, recently discovered in-studio recordings reveal the degree to which Todd Rage compromised his values to secure the money needed to help care for his dying wife Mary and how HGW Corporation seized control of "The Voice of the Algonquin Valley".

Following Mary's Death, Todd Rage loses direction. It would be a week before the horror of the zombie uprising would reach his part of the world and compel him to rise himself to lead the struggle for humanity's survival.

As the dead return to life and begin feeding on the living, Todd Rage returns to his cabin to begin his tenure as "Radio Free Rage" - broadcasting across the valley and the county from his point high on Kulshruck Mountain. This is the only post-uprising recording of Todd Rage released to the public from the Rage Estate. Dropped into the forested mountains of North-Central Pennsylvania, Sarge has been on her own for months, supporting troops and defending survivors from a distance. With the Army in disarray and no clear commander, she lives off the land until she finds a small town of survivors fighting to survive. But they don't know the big picture, the size of the force advancing toward them.
